The Research Lodge, Ars Macionica, aims at spreading a specific type of information within the Regular Grand Lodge of Belgium.  This information focuses on what is usually called "Masonic culture and spirituality"; hence, its aim is to provide the Brethren. with a deeper understanding of what they have already acquired in Lodge.

In general, means we use are :

- the study of the symbolism and of the history of Freemasonry;

- the organisation of lectures on these subjects;

- mutual support in the field of research;

- various services provided to the Lodges and the Brethren. of the Obedience

   (lectures, bibliography, advice, seminars, etc)

 Since early 1992, The Lodge Ars Macionica has refined its objectives.  We now:

- organise three times a year (twice in spring and once in autumn) a lecture of high quality on a historic or symbolic subject, followed by an interesting and friendly discussion ;

- publish the texts of these lectures in the Acta Macionica (every year in November), together with other articles on the Masonic order, its history and symbolism;

- organise in the near future (and thence every three years) an International Conference, open to the public and the press.

As a result the Brethren of Ars Macionica  expect and hope for a positive reaction from all Master Masons who seek to deepen their Masonic knowledge and practical experience.  Active participation in our three annual Meetings provides a number of appreciable advantages to the members of the "Correspondence Circle".  You will find the conditions for admission on our web-site
